I’m the founder of Kingdom Light Analytics — and believe it or not, I used to think solar was a total scam. I never planned to work in solar, but God had other plans.

Kingdom Light Analytics is the result of years of God working in my life — often in ways I didn’t expect. I’ve always had a deep desire to help people, and once I was saved, that desire turned into a mission: to help others while glorifying God. For a long time, I didn’t know how that would take shape.

In college, I bounced between majors — engineering, business, architecture — unsure of my direction. Everything changed when I took a class on Excel. It clicked. I fell in love with the power of data, and that eventually led me into a career in cybersecurity. Along the way, I built spreadsheets for budgeting, project management, company-wide insurance decisions, and more. But even with all that, I still hadn’t found how I could use my skills to glorify God and help others on a deeper level.

Then in 2024, life took a turn. My beautiful wife Skylar and I were expecting our daughter, Eloise, and had just bought our first home. Almost immediately, we faced one challenge after another: broken appliances, depleted savings, and then Hurricane Milton hit, forcing us to evacuate. When we returned, our roof was damaged and needed to be replaced. What seemed like a setback turned into a setup.

A family friend, Brannon — owner of Roofing Brothers of Florida — helped us replace the roof and asked if I’d consider solar. I told him flat out: I wasn’t interested. I thought solar was a scam.

Still, because they did such a good job on the roof, I agreed to one conversation with Chad who runs Roofing Brother of Florida’s solar division. To my surprise, Chad didn’t try to sell me — he simply listened and answered my questions. I still wasn’t convinced, so I turned to what I knew best: Excel. I set out to prove to them — and to myself — why solar didn’t make financial sense.

After 20+ hours of research, calculations, and conversations, I found the exact opposite: solar wasn’t just a decent idea — it was a brilliant financial strategy. The numbers were even better than Chad had promised. I had developed something entirely unique — a God-given idea that shows families how to turn solar from a monthly expense reducer into a long-term wealth-building strategy that could change their future.

At the same time, my wife and I had committed to staying out of debt so Skylar could fulfill her dream of being a stay-at-home mom with Eloise. But we also committed to following God’s plan — even when it didn’t make sense. I realized God was using something I once rejected — solar — to guide me into my purpose.

Since then, I’ve poured hundreds — maybe thousands — of hours into building and refining this tool. It now allows me to show families exactly — down to the penny — how solar can be a powerful, financially strategic decision when approached with wisdom and clarity. What began as deep skepticism has become a calling. Kingdom Light Analytics exists to glorify God, help families steward their finances wisely, and use every opportunity to love our neighbors and spread the Gospel around the world.
